i'm no poet i'll admit that first
so forgive me if the lines go askew

what do i have to say about myself?
for i am not perfect
and have no specialty to boast about
i have made mistakes
and i have made some wrongs
i have regrets
i believe there's more

there's things i shouldn't said

but what can i do
the past is the past
it's not like i could turn back time
and do it all again

so for now i'll take things as they come
and try to understand
they happen for a reason
memories linger
